Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming marriage!
No matter the number of guests invited to share your joy, from 4 to 400, there will be plenty to keep you busy until the big day arrives. But often the most overlooked element of your wedding is also one of great importance and ultimately what brings you to this point: the formality of sharing and vocalizing your love and commitment to one another in front of others.
By the time you come to me, you have already arrived at this conclusion and it is not my position to minister or counsel you prior to or after your wedding day. I offer an alternative to the civil and religious nuptials you're seeking for such an important event.
My role as an officiant is to celebrate and legalize your union on this most special occasion.
I encourage every couple to focus on personal feelings and emotions in designing meaningful and unique vows. It will be my pleasure to work with and guide you in achieving this goal.
If it is your wish to include Biblical scripture and/or prayer, a good suggestion is to have friends and relatives participate in this capacity, as I do not personally incorporate religious verbiage into the service.
The decision to marry is grand. The wedding itself symbolizes to others the level of your devotion and the thoughtful choices you have made. Together, we will all find just the right words which mark the beginning of your married life together.
It would be an honor and delight to be a part of your special day.
